Steak Philly
Ingredients
2 pounds French roast beef (thinly sliced, cooked beef roast)
2 tablespoons bacon grease or butter
1 yellow onion, sliced
2 green bell peppers, sliced
4 ounces mushrooms, minced (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
6 hoagie rolls or sub buns
1 cup of Cheez Whiz
This variation keeps the spirit of a Philly cheesesteak while taking advantage of the rich flavor and tenderness of French roast beef.
Instructions

Heat bacon grease or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions, peppers, mushrooms, and garlic for about 10 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
Slice the French roast beef thinly. Add it to the pan with salt, pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and warm for about 2–3 minutes.
Return the veggies to the pan with the beef, stir to combine, and heat through for another 5–10 minutes.
Toast hoagie rolls on a griddle or in the oven until golden.
Lay cheese slices onto rolls, top with hot meat and veggie mix, and let the cheese melt (optionally, broil sandwiches briefly).
Serve hot, optionally topped with extra cheese sauce.
